I am hoping that this issue is not posted some where else already, however if it is can some one direct me to the correct area?
I have a 79 vette and am considering the swap form carby to TPI. I have a MAP and a MAF style TPI set up at home ready to bolt on but i need a little help with the ECM and PROM side of things.
Does any one know who does the reprogramming of the PROM (MEMCAL) so that it suits my heads, cams and other components etc? I have found one guy in Sliverwater, Sydney, however they charge around $1300 for a custom program based on a dyno tune. I have heard that i don't need to go to this extreme and that for around $400 i can send my PROM away along with my engine spec and then they program it based on my info and send it back.
Does any one know more about this issue or has any one done the conversion themselves who may be able to shed some light on what i do now?
