Mark it in your diary's gang.

Letter to the club.

RE: HAWKESBURY BLOKES' DAY 2008

I am writing to you on behalf of the members of the Hawkesbury Men's Group to seek support for the above program. Membership of this Group comprises Hawkesbury District Health Service, South Windsor Community Connections, OMNi, Bligh Park Community Services, Community Board of Advice to HDHS, Mission Australia, Hawkesbury - Hills Division of GPs and Men's Health Information and Resource Centre to name a few.

Hawkesbury Blokes' Day, which is part of the Hawkesbury's response to International Mens' Health Week, is our major open forum for interaction with the public. The day celebrates the contribution that men and boys make to the Hawkesbury, as well as a chance to provide health and community information.

Previous 'Blokes Day' activities have generated significant interest and attracted a wide demographic. This year it is again to be held in the grounds of the Hawkesbury District Health Service on Sunday 15th June 2008 between the hours of 10am and 2pm.

I wish to, once again, invite you to host a display on the day or to provide material for distribution to promote your club.

Your past involvement has been most appreciated and enjoyed by all. There is no cost associated but participation does require evidence of suitable public liability insurance.
Please contact myself at  jcartwright@chcs.com.au or Stephen Lillie at slillie@chcs.com.au if there are any queries or for further information.

Thank you for your consideration in this matter and we look forward, in anticipation, to a positive response.

Yours faithfully

Jakki Cartwright

Hi gang.

Just got an e-mail from Jakki the organiser of this event.

Hi there,
Well Blokes' Day is just around the corner and I thought I had better 'touch bases' to see how we are going for car numbers. Has there been much response? I do hope so. Wasn't it amazing to get the email from Alan in the States? Let's hope he comes along as well....
I look forward to hearing back from you.
Cheers.
Jakki

Thanks,

So that's so far from the forum GTC, Toyvet, myself, ZEDohSIX & 72vet.  If you bump into anyone from the club please mention this event to them.

Maybe after the show we could all go into Windsor for a drink at one of the locals.

Another e-mail from the organisers:-

After our meeting yesterday it was decided that we will park the Corvettes on the grassed area in front of the hospital spewing them out into the car-park if we get a big response. Parking on the grassed area is a great drawcard especially for passerbys. As this is the 3rd year that the corvettes have been involved, would the club like us to make it a bit of a 'show and shine' in that we get someone to judge and present a trophy to the 'best'.  My father-in-law is a chev mechanic and he shall be there, so thinking out loud, he could be a good candidate for the juging. (He has a beautiful Impala that he totally restored).

Jakki

I have thanked Jakki for their kind offer.  So make sure your beasts are all polished up.

PS

SC will be attending too.  He has suggested a pub in George St, just left at the round about before the bridge and where there is plenty of parking, for drinks afterwards.

Parking of the Vetts will be from 9.15am for a 10 o'clock start.

For those that haven't parked on the grassed area of the front of the hospital before it is accessed from Macquarie Rd. There is a driveway at the end of Windsor Toyota that accesses the grassed area.

If it is raining we will be in the car park instead of the grass.
