Just wondering if anyone can help me out with some info, has anyone had any experience with adapting Holden Commodore HSV for example rotors and brakes to a C4 (mine is a 1987 convertible). If so off what model Holden would I be looking for to use. Anybody??

Would be much cheaper and easier to buy a upgrade bolt on kit from the US.

If you're looking locally Hoppers stoppers in Vic have a bolt on kit to fit 13"rotors and twin piston PBRs' to the 84 to 87 Vettes.

I have the 310mm Hoppers kit on my car.  I'm fairly happy with it as a street set-up.  If you ever hit the track, get the higher spec disks - I think Peter calls them 4000 series or something.

Or buy this setup off eBay Oz for 17" rims.

Or source the stock parts yourself to keep 16" rims

RDA 13" rotors for $280ea in Oz
(http://www.brakesonline.com.au/catalog/index.php?cPath=21_54)
or DBA for 50% more

New grand sport calipers  $450 shipped
(http://wheelskin.com/grand-sport-calipers.html)

DRM billet caliper adapters $270 shipped

Less than A$1300 bolt on ; all original Vette parts

or if you have 17" rims could do a C5 conversion cheaper using new GM calipers and RDA rotors.

I have a set of DRM adapters to fit 13" brakes on pre '88 cars ;$200
