Looks very good Joe. ;42

I have to ask - is the box built to a specific volume for the speakers or did you just build it that size for aesthetics/fit?

I recall the guy was saying these kind of speakers (Boston) require good insulation and not sure whether it had to do with the size of the box.

All I can say that they sound so good...Boston speakers and Boston Amp and Kenwood system

Now I understand what you were talking about on the phone about the power cable.  Sorry I thought it was a fixed unit.

Cleaver man. Good idea. ;42

Thanks Joe. ;42  Makes sense to me.   I don't expect they'd need a box as such but insulating them well is important.

Next time I build a box you can help me. ;41

oh also forgot to mention VO that the reason it is bit big because the AMP is built in the actual box...again i wanted to avoid any drilling in the car...

ur 100% TRJ...The system will only be used when driving on the highway...I tried it today and I have to admit that it sounded SICK BRO ;41

How will the amp go inside the box?  The cooling in there won't exactly be great.  I have an amp in the boot of my daily and it cuts out sometimes during heavy use (most decent amps have a heat cut-out).  The box would be worse for ventilation I would imagine.

Still, I like it.

What brand is your Amp?

Scott

It's one of the Jaycar response ones, 2 channel bridged driving a 12 inch sub, so it works pretty hard.  I guess it will depend lots on what type of music and how loud it is.

went for a cruise today to the blue mountains and they were on more than 6 hours...I enjoyed it so much. and system did not overheat! :{
So i guess it all depends on the quality of the amp...oh and the music was quiet loud
