JUST A WARNING TO ALL C3'S THAT HAVEN'T BEEN RESTO'D.AFTER TAKING MY SCREEN OFF I FOUND RUST IN THE PILLARS AND ALSO TOP CORNERS.C3'S ARE KNOWN TO RUST IN 2 PLACES 1.WINDSCREEN FRAME 2.CHASSIS.JUST CHECK YOUR WINDSCREEN FRAMES BY PULLING OFF THE MOULDING ON THE INSIDE OFF (ITS ONLY VELCRO'D)AND LOOK DOWN THE BOTTOM CORNERS.YOU WONT SEE ALL OF IT BUT YOU MIGHT SEE THE BUBBLING EFFECT!I SAW OTHER C3 ONLY THE OTHER DAY THAT LOOKED LIKE SOME RUST WAS BEGINNING! I've filled and sealed the space between the glass and frame with sikaflex.
1980 LG4 stock 305 running LPG.


I'm a highway staaaaaarrrr...

If it's really bad I do know that someone is making new pieces, the pillars for the windshields frame.  It's a real expensive repair job to replace those side pillars though.  I can't remember off hand who is actually making them but if you need them I'll check around for you.

WE  JUST  REPLACED  MINE,GET  IT  RIGHT  OR  THE  CHROME  MOULDINGS  ALONG  THE  TOP  WON'T  FIT  RIGHT????BUGGER  :(

SCOTT81 THANKS FOR THE OFFER,BUT I HAVE ORDERED ALL THE FRAME PIECES FROM PARAGON & ECKLERS.THEY SHOULD ARRIVE MONDAY.THEY MAY HAVE TO TAKE OFF THE FENDERS TO GET TO THE RUST ,I HOPE NOT!.BUT ONE GOOD THING MY BIGBLOCK IS BACK IN THE CAR.SO AS SOON AS THE FRAME IS FIXED IT WILL BE GOOD TO SEE YOU ALL IN MY REAR VIEW MIRROR ONCE AGAIN!!!;35
