Paint names

Just wondered if anyone could help in relation to codes and there names or equivelant codes or names,such as (979code =targa blue metallic). My code is 28L and would like to know what colour blue it referes too . About 4 years ago I walked into supercheap and picked up a can of spraypaint for touchups that looked that close Id have to point it out for you to know the diffarence ,think it was a holden colour but do you think I could remember the name or code .;30

L stands for L = Paint Type (Lacquer)

G'day Joe I have an 1981 vette trim and paint tag state . Chevrolet G12 trim 64C and 28L paint

The 1982 Corvette exterior colors were:

10 = White
13 = Silver
19 = Black
24 = Silver Blue
26 = Dark Blue
31 = Bright Blue
39 = Charcoal
40 = Silver Green
56 = Gold
59 = Silver Beige
70 = Red
99 = Dark Claret
10/13 = White and Silver
13/39 = Silver and Charcoal
13/99 = Silver and Dark Claret
24/26 = Silver Blue and Dark Blue

Thanks joe The tag has been sprayed over and I read it in poor light ,Ill recheck in the morning to see if its a 26 . If I was looking for this paint does any body know the best person to suply or mix this paint would bee (holden ?)being a GM ,or someone cheaper and more local to myself.

Thanks Guys  you 2 rock , I did check this morning to confirm and it was 28L ,next step is too get the paint ,and from who? would love to do a full respray but time and money and the fact I havnt driven it legaly for the last 2 years wants me to do a quicky till after summer ,so I can do the full strip and engine bay, which I hope the 502 will also be ready.
