this is the first time i have seen a pic of your LT1......i love it......but as a novice, what is different about an LT1 ,compared to a garden varity vette? i know they got solid lifters....anything else?

MADLT1

;33nifty lets see now, they share a big block hood because o the high intake, allso with painted pin stripes around hood, they were made in 70/71/72   the number of each respective year are...1,287/1,949/1,741......they come as a t/top or a convertible....the special thing about these vetts is in the engine.....a 350 small block with a 780 holley double pumper/alloy high rise intake/double hump fuillie heads/triple valve springs/guide plates/stainless valves/trw forged pistons/special con rods/steel crank/4 bolt mains/solid cam shaft/these were the last to use these/m-21 4 speed/no autos/from memory i think you only had a choice of 3.70 or 4.11 rear gears/mine are 3.70/allso they have the same tacho as the big blocks if you wanted the raceing suspension package ,then the car was called a ZR1only 25 for 70 8 for 71 and 20 for 72..this is of the the top of my head so if i hve made any mistakes i wellcome the input aS i have been studying these cars for some time now and have relied on literature, what a blessing it is to have a computer now.......;49;49;49

A Very interesting read Glen,

Looking at the motor desciption you have given, i must admit that my motor has alot of that stuff already within the motor (and factory), with the exception of the manifold and holley which has been added in the last three years.

Can you post a picture of the tacho on the forum, as im curious to the difference.

Thanks

MADLT1

look at the red line limet on the tachs that should show you the differance, then when you are at the next show check out the c3s and you will notice the differance visually.....
