C4 1990 Rest Infl and Seat Belt Light
« on: Today at 12:13:33 PM »
Attn. Member in W.A who called, sorry to be vague when I first answered the phone, I'm currently having once again a rash of scamers.
My thoughts have reset and would advise that all my system inc the two sensors were in working order. (See previous posts with cct & impedances)
And be advised that once you fix the issue, the "resetting" of the computer can be very frustrating, it took me many goes to get it to reset.

W.A - go down lower to the next entry on "Rest Infl Light" open and there is a copy of a doco from the States on the Air Bag sensor testing.
Code 26 is for RH side, located under the Evap & Washer bottle.
Three pin connector, could be loose, dirty or disconnected.
In 2019 forum use info about the sensor connections and resistances.
Code 16 is the LH side and is under battery, I removed side quarter panel, batt ad tray.
If Sensors check OK, then the earth from each and earth needs to be consolidated.

P.S the quarter panel needs a flat open ended 10mm to LOOSEN the bottom screw - dont remove screw - the panel will slide out.
