power antenna

Hi guys,
I have a power antenna that extends when you turn the radio on, and retracts when the radio is off.

Unfortunately it now extends and the motor keeps whirring away, but does not retract.

Should I just change the power antenna or should I start looking at the radio end of the circuit?

Any help would be appreciated. 1979 coupe.

Probably a broken drive ribbon in antenna I have a 78 one hear if you want it easiest way out is Supercheap auto power antenna about $70 have to regig wiring from power antenna relay to new  antenna
