BBQ's not so Galore.

Well went over towards Rosenthal Park, tried the Western Syd Park, good set up inludes Toilet etc, bigger shelters etc, but closing 8pm.

Went farther up towards the lights at Rosenthal, but turned left into new Estate, nice new setup there with everything but no Toilet.

Work being done at Rosenthal, bbq and shed is a pig stye.

Anyone else know a good spot.

Come on members - there must be a place near you.

We may have to bite the bullet, and go to Western Syd park at Elizabeth drive on a Thursday,

The restaurant is open till 10pmish, we could work a deal with them.

Any thoughts !?!?!?!!!!???!?!?!!!?!

There is two fantastic places at Camden but obviously to far to travel for most members , bummer !!!!!

Last time I was there was a Club Xmas party in 2008 and we were suddenly literally overrun with and squashed into a corner by -- how shall I put it -- dozens of persons of middle eastern appearance.  But that was a Sunday.

Ok went there, baseball field, running track, footy field plus one other playing field.
All facilities locked and bolted, could see no BBQ's.

This ones a reject.          Time for a G&T.

After a call from Joe.F I went to the "Dairy", all good new facilities.

But alas, its another WS Parklands and closes early, pity - not a bad spot.

Now waiting for all those members to chine in on a site they know about........

I can Google Earth it and see (least thats what my Daughter who is off work today, has told me)

Its hard to concentrate with News24 on, some music playing, and the Daugter TRYING to sing along in the shower.

OK Jeff.

After our discussion, I googled  Curry Reserve at Elderslie.

Good large ground, parking close, good facilities and includes the disabled toilet.

S/S BBQ's, water, good large shelters, c/w lights.

Took me 30 ~ 35 minutes in traffic (4-5pm.)

I think this one could be a good place to start.
