C5 Heads
« on: April 09, 2017, 03:55:23 PM »
A pair of LS1 heads off my C5, complete with valves, springs and rockers, low miles, just taking up room in my garage.
Removed a few years ago, good for someone doing up a engine or wanting to modify a set.

$600 give me a buzz on 0423 012 243

I'll probably now show my stupidness, but I'll ask anyway.

Would these heads go on a 350SBC std engine in a 1978 - I think they are L48.

One of our gurus like Sirfixalot, Bfit or SRS or maybe just awell informed person out there in Corvette land may know.

Thanks.

Vettech, there is no such thing as a silly question if you don't already know.
Lefty - All C5 and newer vettes are Aluminium heads, I can't say if they would fit a C3, out of my area of knowledge
Vettech - I took them off because I put on a highly modified Z06 set, the volume you will have to research it yourself, they are off a stock 99 C5

The only similarity between a SB and a LS1 IS the bell housing bolt pattern .
And one bolt hole is not drilled
But these will fit in a C3, if you bolt a LS1 short motor underneath the heads.

Thank you all.

I can nearly always rely on Bfit having the last say and making me laugh.

Now Dart do make a nice set of aluminium alloy heads for the serious  SB owner.

Disclosure
This is an none paid response .
I in no way get a remittance for my opinion here
