Correct tyre inflation
« on: April 19, 2015, 07:20:07 AM »
Hi again,
Bought 4 new mickey Thompson sportsman 255/60/15.
There does not not appear to be any information on the correct inflation for road use.
Does anyone have a set on their car and what do they run at.
I'd like to get this right before they bed in too far,
Thanks agin,

Cheers

Set it to the tyre placard specs you have on your car, of course it may have to vary if they're not the same style of tyre.

You're correct and many don't realise tyre pressure maximums are just that; the maximum for that tyre; the correct pressure depends on the car and how you drive it.

Many thanks for the repos ses,
I'll had them at 36 today and the ride was a bit abrupt,
Dropped to 33 and will tas out over the next few weeks,
Looking to maximise tyre life and not over or under inflate,
Cheers,

Tyre pressure depends on lots of car
Google tyre wear caused by wrong inflation
Watch your tyres and you will soon know what pressures work  with the tyres and your car .
Get a wheel alignment as well
