Just had a 2.25" system installed from Sureflo, I think they did a pretty good job so had to share.

Sureflo Exhausts.

Old exhausts with Flowmasters, they sound great but were too loud for my neighbours.:

New system

Greg took some pics of the car too.

I agree, the other models don't do it for me as much.

Nice Stang mate. Im fussy about them and that is a nice one.

The louvres in the tailpipes is unusual. Is that a factory thing?

The louvred tail pipes is part of the GT option as i understand it, my GT 65 farstback had them i think there cool !!

Correct, not sure what the advantage is with them but I wanted the look to remain troo to how I bought it so Greg cut them a few inches in and enlarged the opening to fit the 2.25" pipe.

He says they give it a 'fluffy' sound, it has a very lumpy cam that probably contributes a bit to that too.

They do sound good but I did prefer the Flowmaster sound to be honest, they were so beastly.

The Super-Cats are still loud and pretty much the Magnaflow design, Greg prefers them as the housings are much nicer, they don't have ugly welds at each end.

Hey Steve Mr I.T you..... Post a sound track of em why don't ya :thumb: P.S. the way the flowmaster would have gotten that deep throatie sound would have been a sep up muffler i.e 2.250 to 2.500 mufflers Bro :thumb: and when you look the your old system you can  actually see the spet up on mufflers

I don't have a recorder, not sure if a camera will capture it, will see what I can do.

It's more than that, the Flowmaster's have no padding, the mufflers are hollow with baffles.

The Super-Cats are similar to the Magnaflow design and look something like this:

I had 50 series Flowmasters on my chevelle, right under the floor and it resonated badly at ~ 3000 rpm
Added an H pipe and 2 resonators with no improvement.
Put them on a corvette however, right out the back and it's probably a whole different story.

Car's lookin good Steve, one day you'll see mine, when it's not in pieces, I hope.

I never really started a build thread because it didn't think it would be a "build"
It's more like a "fix it while I drive it" type thing, or a "when I can afford to fix something" I'll attempt it.

Pretty much what I'm doing but I still find it worthwhile, others can see who I went to, the results and judge who the good companies are, etc.  You can also ask questions showing pics and what you intend to do and receive comments and advice on it.
