Ausrs, the original one is actually 10mm longer in the face, which is also adjustable and also 10mm shorter in the end. I enquired about having the new metal one opened, fixed to suit and it was like $500 to do. . Stuff that. Im going to see if i can get the original overhauled as they put it. Or see if i can get an original one in. . Will see

Thanks gtc and guys for your inputs on this matter

I actually found another place very close to me in Belmore.. Its called Marion Brake and Clutch Spares.

I got the booster overhauled (that's opened up, brand new face, which is from a Ford AU model) ,  a new diaphragm installed etc in under two days, and its also tested, and warrantied for 12 months. The original parts have been re-used like the bolts, the push rods etc and it looks identical, with the exception that the vacuum bit is closer to the motor, but this can also be placed to the bottom left as you look at it.  :thumb: :thumb:

Here are the pics... Now to get the thing installed...

Million Dollar question, what was the cost ?

Jethro,

The price was well worth the trouble and slightly more than what I paid originally for the replacement booster.   :thumb:

I paid my brothers price (trade discount) as he has an account with Marion Brake and Clutch Spares.   :bounce:

So all good... now its got to be installed... Sat ???
