Hey Corvette lovers. I have bought this vette in the states and I would like to resto the chassis. Is there much involved in removing the body. Is there any little things that i should be aware of. The car is still in transit at the moment.
Cheers Adam. I have include some pics.

Please take note;mmm
If you remove a body off a chassis rail be very very carefull as body damage may occur.;30
If you are also replacing the body mounts be very very careful here as well as the body panel alignment will also alter.:grr
Most body mounting bolts are usually seized (mainly the back two bolts)
The rear body mount cups are also usually rusted out
Check the sills before you start to see if they are rusted
The front two body mount brackets on the chassis rail require re-welding as the factory did a very poor job welding them on.;42

Thanks Chromie. I guess looking at the pictures underneath with those
oil leaks it may have hindered any rust issues. The car came from Northeren California and is  a dry area. The same owner for 30 years. I guess I 'll have to wait until it arrives.;46
