I can't remember exactly what I did and the photos don't tell me.

If there had been remnants of a foam gasket it is likely I would have used silicone.

BTW you can get the LED's from most electrical wholesalers.  That's where I got mine.  They cut it off a big roll and fitted the wires for me.
