I used the ones that came out of the left side and got it down to .04mm, i think that is about 0.00157480315 inch.

Do you think that will do (dry no grease)

I measured the other side and got the shim from the left, and that is 3.20mm and ended up with 0.10 end play SOOO if i try and get the #3 shim that is 3.38 and skim that down. How does that sound as a plain?

Mate
There is no problem  machining the shim
find some one how has surface grinder to get a decent parallel shim
where  are you located
As I remember it the tolerance is 0.003" to 0.008"
some people say 0.0 to 0.003"
I don't think I would be to worried about 0.1mm 0.004"

you could try lapping  all the surfaces  of the spacers you might just  close the tolerance up
if you don't have lapping compound  use 400 wet n dry backed up with a piece of glass

Any diff shop should be able to skim a shim for you.

If you have 3.20 mm shim with 0.10 end float you need to decrease shim to  3.10mm to get zero end float. 3.38mm will give you 0.28 end float

Bugger, i went the wrong way and Scott from the supporter from the add below is sending me one that is going to be way to big, more than .5 mm.
He did have one smaller but it is on my work email, i will check first thing. I think he said he had one that was 3.18

3.10 millimetres = 0.122047244 inches or 3.10 millimetres = 122.047244 thou

Scott from Corvette Alterations is sending both shims, so all sorted.

On a side note the RH side was completed last light :shades:
