Title: volunteer vette products

has anyone delt with volunteer vette products ?i have been looking for years now glass for my hardtop for my 71 convertible,well this place say they stock them and can date code them as well,this is the first time i have found a supplier,so just looking for some input.cheers :hi:

Visited their shop and have friends in Tennessee who say they are good.  Can't comment on their shipping to Oz though as I haven't used them for that yet.

Shipping I just got two  items from Vansteel today
they left on the 19th arrived in Sydney 22nd
got yo me today
work that out 3 days  US to Sydney
4 days Sydney  to Picton

they quoted me $491 for a windsreen for a hardtop for a 71,that was great as i have been chaseing one for years now,they evan date code,but get this the shipping is free in america,but to send here its gonna cost $700 OMG

I'd be very curious to see the package weight.  Something tells me it would be a decent size and weight.

Have you considered getting it shipped to LA and then put on a slow boat to make it cheaper?

yep i was thinking that ,maybe scott from corvette alterations may have a contianer comeing over ,will have to make contact when i am ready to do it?

When I have had large items sent via container, I call the people whose container service I am using, find out the address details to have it sent to at the shipping port, ask the "estimated" departure and arrival time and then place my order using that address information.

I know people who have had plastic targa roof panels broken all the time in local American shipping so I suspect that the windscreen would be overpackaged to the max.
