Post by: 72vet on November 12, 2011, 09:37:41 AM

We haven’t had a weekend away for a while? 2010 was the last time we held a short break / club run. http://www.nswcorvettes.com.au/photo/thumbnails.php?album=180

Saturday 18th - Meeting at Thornleigh Macca’s.  Departure time 10:30am

Destination – Nelson Bay Breeze resort.

When making your booking; ask for an early check in - Also mention that you are from NSW Corvettes for a better rate.

After sinking in by the pool area with a few ales & cocktails,  we’ll head down to the city centre for shopping or a cruise around Nelson bay waters, your call.

Dinner - Back at the Breeze pool area / restaurant “SIENNA’S” for some more idle chatter about Vettes, till very late

Sunday morning - Feeling refreshed NOT!

Our Northern members will catch up and show us around their neck of the woods, lunch has been arranged at Murray's Brewery which is back towards Sydney for the unlucky ones that are returning home.

As for the stayers, it’s only a 30 min drive back to the Breeze for another mischievous night, if the old bones can handle it.

For the guys that plan to us the M2 this morning to meet at Thornleigh, the M2 will be closed to one lane in either direction, so if you’re planning to use it allow extra time or use an alternative route.

Contact Nick if your running late 0411 123 383

Excellent weekend
the weather was  well behaved

It became  quite apparent as the weekend progressed that every one  was having a good time.

One has to  credit to Ray . Don and Col,  all of whom  could  hold there own  in the stand up  comedy  business.
they had us  in stitches at times
Many thanks to Deb  for her tireless efforts.
I believe Nick had a hand  in  getting thing organized as well.

The venue  we stayed at was good  although  some what unorganized ( only My opinion ) Missfit and I would go back  there again with out worries.
There was much eating and the odd alcoholic beverage.
All in all  good company    made for a memorable time.
The run to the winery  was  brisk in places to say the least.

Others can add to that
Bfit n Missfit

It was great to see the NSW Corvette Club in Nelson bay, great cars and great people, I spoke with the Port Stephens Classic Automobile Association President, he said next time you are in town, let us know, and we will host a breakfast BBQ for you, if that’s suitable? Keep safe – Terry (Blue ’65 C2).

Thank you Terry and all our Norther members for your hospitality. We had a blast, and the weather held out beautifully for us.
The BBQ breakfast idea sounds great. We intend to do this run as an annual event, and look forward to your participation again next time to make the weekend even bigger and better.
