Who has upgraded their brakes what components
did you use,and was it worth it.

Upgrade to the late 13" rotor J55 brakes (need custom adapter fr early cars )

Most popular in USA now are the C5 calipers ( cheaper ) but they won't fit stock 16 and sawblade 17" rims

Local made conversion for sale on eBay now

Do you think the C5 brakes are better than the j55.
Apparently so.
The C5 rotor is much thicker meaning you can brake harder longer because less heat build up and less brake fade.
In saying that, the J55 were a big improvement over the stock brakes on my '87
are the pbr same as j55,
C5 calipers are differnt to J55 ones but PBR makes all the Vette calipers; stock , J55 and C5

C4 ZR1's use a steel booster if I recall correctly. So if you have no luck sourcing alternatives try one of those.
