Measuring the height!  I'm surprised that the officer would even know what the legal ride height of a Vette is.

I tell you they are getting worse.  Once upon a time you could cruise around in ya Vette and never get hassled.  We have been hearing more and more stories around the forums of people getting hassled in yankey muscle cars.  Mind you, if your out there lighting them up etc, no matter what ya drive you are going to get pulled over.

100mm from the lowest point of the car to the road, regardless of vehicle make.  That is one of the few laws they are likely to enforce correctly with our cars.

He had this stick with a chrome bit on the end. I'm figuring that's the one hundred mm you are talking about.
I don't recon I have that much clearance especially with the exhaust. One of my mates got hassled in his prius the other day with the window tinting.
Poor guy has a poofter car and he still cant blend in.

I agree.  I suspect a lot of C4's (being the model I'm most familiar with) have their work cut out for them at stock height with the way the rear exhaust y pipe droops on some cars.

Being a person how has bend known to bend the law
as far a it is possible.
Its best to know the laws you have to abide by
and keep every thing on the rite side of  legal.

even then If the lads on Blue want to make life hard for you they WILL

For the  positive approach they just may want to check out a nice car.
(C4 MMMM well different strokes for different folks)
