Title: Oil Filter
Post by: Scott on February 17, 2011, 09:40:28 PM
Does anyone know what oil filter I need for my SBC?

The ryco catalogue doesn't list it, and the staff at supercheap were useless as expected.  Mine is still the US filter, so can't use the number from that unfortunately.

Same as the Holdens with the SBC in them, Z24 from memory. Fits BBC as well

I did check the early holden listing but there was nothing listed for the 5.7L in the early cars.

A cross check on the Z24 shows it should be the right one... This was supposed to be the easy part :)

A quick check shows the Z40 is the short version of a Z24, just FYI.
