Need some help!
I got a new roof for my 85 but the windshield mounting points are different. To cut a long story short, I have an 89+ roof which does not fit 84-86E or 86L-88 Corvettes as the roof mounting plates are different.
I sourced a set of 87 windshield brackets but since discovered the roof plates are 89+.
Windshield brackets measured from bolt to bolt O.C. across top of windshield frame.
· 1st design 84 - Early 86 28.5”
· 2nd design Late 86-88 31.5”
· 3rd design 89-96 32.5”
As you cannot buy the windshield brackets from Ecklers and the like, can I change the roof plates to an 89+ (can buy them aftermarket) and it all fits?

The 86L-88 plates look wider than the 89+.

Has anyone had to muck around with this type of thing? Does anyone have a bolt to bolt plate measurement for both 86L-88 and 89+?
