Post by: MADLT1 on May 18, 2009, 04:17:19 PM
they certanly are the working mans toy, just dismantled my dash on my 71 to replase the oil gauge and had a new speedo cable made up and while i was there thought what the heck i will send the am/fm radio away  to get working again.then when i went to bolt the steering columnback up the bloody tilt mechanism would  not come back down to the position where it should be;29 so thanks to scott at corvette alterations hopefully it will be a simple fix, should know in a day or 2.hence the term the working mans toy:}you do one thing and you end up doing 6 LOL

Glad I'm not the only one who has been through the steering column woes. I spent about a week trying to fix mine, horrible things they are. Come to think of it, Scott came to the rescue with mine as well, bought some bits and pieces from him.

Ditto!

... and I let him do the work, too.
