Here's a thread on another forum I just stumbled across.

I just posted my question to him on page 6, hopefully we can get an answer on this as they look to be a really good idea.

IF he does have some that'll look original I'll buy the kit and let you guys know how it all pans out.

Hi Demonx. Like probably everyone else, I too would like to have better illumination in guages. (particularly the speedo so I don't get booked). From investigations so far, I believe the bulb type in my '75, and probably a lot of other models, is a BA9S. The BA being for bayonet, the 9 being the diameter of the base of the globe in mm, the S for single contact. The are quite a few LEDs on The Bay for BA9S replacement. If the US contact doesn't work out, there may be some other options. I'll continue to suss this out.

I've already ordered a full dash kit.

I think it was 20 bulbs.

Hi Demonx,
Did you get the new bulbs? Did they fit and how much brighter are they?
