Title: Car display
Post by: toyvet on August 07, 2008, 06:45:01 PM
;29 Hello Members,I received an email from Louise Chapman regarding hiring the forecourt of the opera house for a car display, unfortunatley she said that their car sponsor has exclusive rights over car displays on the forecourt as this event conflicts with their corporated sponsor relationship we can't use this venue.
I'll continue to look for another site in the sydney metro area to hold a car display;37

Regards

Jorge

Thanks for trying, Jorge. That would be a great place for a show. Pity these public venues are given exclusive access.

I suppose Martin Place is out of the question? I guess Sydney Council could answer that.

This really annoys me. A public asset given over to a "can't be named" company? I'm going to find out who it is for the hell of it.

Meanwhile, let's all chip in with suggested CBD and surrounding venues to help Jorge.

How about the area around Circular Quay, fronting Customs House? Again, I suppose Sydney Council would control that.

Perhaps Sydney Council could offer some location suggestions?

If it's on the foreshore, the harbour foreshore authority would be the contact.  I think that's who we deal with for Darling Harbour.... I Think.
