Hi guys (& gals), Have been a member for a few months. Still working out how to drive the Forum. Need a Forum for Dummies manual. Still having problems with that Avatar picture, might have to call in the big guns. Look forward to catching up with you at future events.

Welcome folks!
Cam will help you out when he sees your post.

Greetings and welcome Reklaw. Got your e-mail relating to you avatar problem and have replied to it.
We have a Members Picture Gallery (MPG) here if you want to use it rather than photobucket.
Click this link to have a look at it :- http://www.nswcorvettes.com.au/photo/
If you would like access let me know and I'll open an account for you. It's not as powerful as Photobucket but all you pictures will be stored on our server and I can readily and easily assist you more so than I can with Photobucket as I have no control over Photobucket.

G'day Reklaw, Northern...as in North of Sydney or way up north?
-
Nicely done Bob.
Got any more pictures of your ride for us to look at?
-
To Dirty Rat, I'm at Long Jetty. It's often referred to as the end of the earth so I have to ask, "is there any further north than Long Jetty?
Thanks Cameron. A few before and during (there aren't any after shots yet, after hasn't happened yet) shots should appear below. If not I'll be asking you stupid questions again.
The car ended up being a 10 footer. Only one thing to do ... rebuild the thing. Should be on the road about October.

Bugger, didn't read the instructions, I Previewed and lost the attachments. Trying again.
-
I assume you either talking about putting them in your signature or in a second post. Either way drop me a line if you have any trouble.
As far as large pictures go in a post, try to keep them to no larger than 700 wide. But don't panick if you can't I'll adjust them. It's one of the reasons the boys use our Members Picture Gallery. It automatically resizes the pictures to best fit the screen here.
You may want to read this about posting pictures http://www.nswcorvettes.com.au/forum/viewthread.php?tid=3329. It shows you how to do it. This method allows you to post more than one picture at a time in a post.
If your using the attachment method have a read of this http://www.nswcorvettes.com.au/forum/viewthread.php?tid=6489, although from you comment I think you are already reading it. This method only allows one attchment (picture) per post. If the attchment (picture) is too big in size the system will not allow it. Maximum size of an attchment is 160kb.

Your on a roll :22
Had a read of your blog. Your definately having some fun there. I quite like how you found out your trailing arms needed some attention. All sounds vaguely familar. There is more than one of us here who have been there and done that. ;39

who did the paint ?
-
Hi Mad LT1. If you mean the one on the corner of Lake St and the Entrance Road, I'm just around the corner from it. We're so close, we cam smell it on those hot summer days.
Now, I'll get one more photo in, then follow Cam's instructions thereafter.
Oh, regarding the colour, it's not green (turquoise if you don't mind) any longer. It will soon be something daring, something provocative, something rarely seen on a Corvette ......... Red!
-
The paint was done by someone in the good 'ol US of A. It must have been difficult waving that spray gun around whilst carrying a white cane. Used 20 litres of paint stripper to get rid of the crappy paint job & get it back to bare fibreglass.

just looked at your blog....its coming along nicely...and just what the world needed...ANOTHER red vette....
looks great though....
and your right getting a hot rodder paint it for you.... they actually appreciate a nice car and take that little bit extra care....
-
Thanks Nifty, Doing the blog takes time, I'd rather spend that time on the car AKA "the mongrel bloody thing". It's moving along 'though. Should be all but finished in a week or so.Yep, there'll soon be another red Vette terrorising the tarmac. Wasn't brave enough to pick any other colour.
-
Hi Reklaw,
Your vette looks great. I also liked the turquoise. It was certainly different.
Its gonna look hotter than hot red though.
I'm also up the coast. Just opposite the lake from you at Berkeley Vale.
I look forward to seeing it around.
Mine is just parked for the moment. Not enough time to use her.:an

HI 427OZVet,
Another Coastie ha? We'll have enough cars to start up our own club! (just kidding) Graham Smith also lives in BV. He has a red '74, maybe you've seen him around.
I'm in Tuggereah Parade Long Jetty, the road that runs beside the lake. (or through the lake in times of flood). If you're cruising this way some time, feel free to drop in.
Should have mine on the road about 2nd week of December.
