I need some more parts. These are the main US parts places I could think of. Are there any others?
Corvette Central
Ecklers
Mid America
Corvette central seems to be the only place that sells seatbelt reinforcement plates. I also need/want wiper arms, a rhs mirror, a locking fuel cap and a set of ceramic coated headers (shorty style) and since the $$ is good at the moment, I thought I'd send a few more of them overseas. I want to get all the parts form the one place, but I don't like the headers that Corvette central have.
Can anyone think of other alternatives? Google supplied a few other decent ones, but no more seatbelt plates.
Cheers
Scott

From experience I would recommend Corvette america speak to Dana (male) he looks after the oz market

Ecklers were good but they have changed their postal policy so you could get stung with higher fees
-

They don't respond to e-mails anymore, either. Service seems to have gone to the dogs.

.. out of general interest also.. very shortly.. and I'm trying to recall but from memory it starts July 2, GM is instigating the www.gmrestorationparts.com web site.. turning it into a virtual new parts / resto parts store.. which .. for you guy .. SHOULD BE ONE HELL of alot of one-stop-shop help for the latest and full round up of GMRP .. that are not counterfiet etc.. We are preparing about 100 of our parts for it, only ONE corvette specific part.. but it contains thousands of parts from what I'm being told... The Corvette restoration parts like the other GM branded stuff.. will be listed, cross searchable by year, model, description etc. all parts that are now licensed by GM under the GM Restoration Parts program.
Its going to be open to the public.. what is now primarily dealer sourced internal access.
Its operated in the background by Helm Inc - the same people who publish the manuals for GM & FORD..
Figure for some that might be of help ..as they are sure to be more up to date then most of the "catalogue" parts sellers. I know from our experience.. it can take a full year for a new part to appear in the US paper catalogs.. as most are only printed annually.. if that.. and thats after the average 6 months it takes to get thru the US GM legals for the production & after successfull actual production of the parts.. etc.. It can take SO long.. but this might help bring parts out in the open ALOT quicker.

Ditto!
Seems you can get on their "go live" notification list, too:

The existing GM parts sites don't really list cars before 1980, so that will be handy.
I think I'll have to make some early morning calls to the US and see who has what.
So far I've had good dealings buying large items from VB and P who were good with sending stuff OS, and Vansteel, but the Vansteel items were picked up from their factory by a friend. Unfortunately neither of these places stock the bits I'm after.

I have had good service from Paragon reproductions,
Gave up on ecklers years ago.
I have also used Mid America, Chicago Corvette, Keens, JD.
If you are starting a full resto you can register with Paragon and you will get a continuing discount as you buy stuff during the resto.
-
I haven't had any problems with ecklers lately, the bloke doing my orders is Paul Bersok and i have found him very helpful and he always replies.
with the higher dollar and club discounts i actually find it very reasonable.

Yeah but IF you even get the parts they probably wont fit! or will rust or break within months!

Try willcox corvette they advertise parts on ebay. Ebay store parts are a couple of dollars cheaper than catalogue price. They are excellent with correspondance prices were cheaper than Ecklers even after quoting club discount & there postage quote for my parts was $170 as compared to Ecklers of $400. Have used them twice.
