need C5 RHD steering rack, or someone with enough brains to build one propaly, car still on stands after 12 months with Sydney converter, done it 6 times still can't get it right, grrrrrr
-
What's the story with the rack Kim, I mean what rack do they use when the conversion is done?
-
Sydney Co uses the original rack makes a new head and internal gear to drive the shaft, its not really rocket science, its a matter of getting the gear reversed and replacing the existing shaft back into the gear and haveing the 2 pieces bind perfect, so tolerences have to be spot on, thats the problem I am having with this clown, hes trying to save a few bucks at my car expence, if the shaft turns in the gear you could very well end up in a box, I nearly did along with my daughter, I can find gear makers here no problem, he uses a company in NZ, which just makes everything difficult to solve, I have told him how to solve it but he is a diik head and wont listen, I am about to take the rack from him and have it done myself.
QLD are now using the same manufacturer in NZ, so they are out as well, I have been in contact with them.

problem solved, had it modified should have it back in in the next week or so, not many C5 wise folks in our club and I am still learning
