Is there anything special about your engine mounts? I thought I just bought some for my 427 just at the auto shop.

They are not the rubber ones. The Urethane mounts are supposed to be a lot better, last longer, stiffer, handle oil/ chemicals better! BUT they cant handle the heat! Which is redicules. I'm putting a aluminium barrier around the new mounts to stop the radiant heat, hopefully they will last longer this time.
For me the rubber ones have to much movement for the type of driving I do! Plus with extra horsepower the rubber mounts probably wouldnt last long? The engine becomes a bit more responsive with the urethane ones!

Yeah, I was on DC someone suggested that, but I just think it will create to many potential problems! If it still fails down the road I may consider solid mounts!
