I’m excited to say that I am now the proud owner of my first Corvette. Purchased the 1978 Coupe from Geoff and Deidre who have taken very good care of her over the years.
I’ve had the vette given the once over by Scott from Corvette Alterations and Conversions. Not only did he supply me with a detailed and comprehensive list of the vette’s condition, he also took his time to go over the whole car with me, explaining what to look out for and what needed attention. Thankfully, Scott gave me the thumbs up and I was a very, very happy owner. Next stop was to Steve and Peter’s place at SR Performance. I booked the car in for a badly needed tune and some leaking exhausts and Steve took the time to go over the rest of the car. Steve made me feel like it was his car he was working on as he fixed up all the little fiddly things that I probably would have taken weeks to find let alone fix. A week later and I picked up the car. I thought it performed well before hand, but I am very impressed with it now. Steve and his team did a great job and I now have a car that I can confidently drive around and show off.
All in all, my introduction to the Corvette family has been nothing other than excellent. Scott, Steve and Peter know their Vettes and they take the time to explain things to you. Thanks very much guys.
Only thing left for me to do is detail the car and enjoy it.
Looking forward to catching up soon – planning to attend the Bella Vista event in March

Yes, that would be me. I live at Castle Hill and work at Milperra. The wife said it was OK to drive the vette to work until the grin is off my face. Trouble is, I don't think the grin will go away.

Hey Robert, nice to hear good comments for CAC and SR Performance.
These guys go the extra mile!
I look at your pics and wish I had bought a completed Vette rather than the "lego" set of bits that I purchased!!
Looks "sweet" and I'll check it out at Bella Vista.
See you there.

Bring it to a "Third Tuesday" BBQ evening. Doonside is probably easier to get to from Castle Hill. Straight down the M2 and M7.

I knew owning a vette would not be cheap, but it is worth every single penny.
