Yep all over this beast have already put a few bids on it but i will hang off it till closer to the end now.
That thing is orsom there is not a vette in this country that would get near it on the track,it would be great to run around 5-10 seconds a lap quicker than the next vette it would make you feel like superman.
-
i dont get it.....would be a real nice RACE car,but why would they chop up a 69 to make it????
wouldnt it have been better to just use an 80 - 82 chassis in the first place since to me they are using the body from that year? oh well....i dont own it so they can do what they like.exit another 69 chassis.

That's a pretty low-tech motor when you look at all the effort and parts they threw at the rest of the car.
Nothing wrong with that, just saying... I can see a few benefits to that.
The auto tranny is a bit curious though on a car that looks like it was built for roadracing...

If i got it do you think i would leave it with that motor and box for long?I think i would go down the path of a cast iron ls1 with a strong 4 or 5 speed to give it some real mumbo.
the other thing is that the yanks for one reason or another like autos in their track cars and i have seen alot of autos for sale on ebay and web sites alike that are this way so it didnt surprise me at all.

I never for a moment thought you'd leave the motor as is if you bought it. ;laugh ;laugh ;laugh
I dunno, I just have a lot of trouble seeing the arguement for an auto on a circuit car unless being cheap is one of your needs. Maybe I need to start another thread to ask why or what it is I'm not seeing... ;40

you guys have got it all wrong these are all drag car motors not good track motors.a good track motor is usually (but not always) limited to about 427 cubes with big torque down low to mid range and have good throttle control.these motors make their power to high up in the rev range.
i know these days my car out does the tyres and the driver so i will need to pull my finger out and get me a good set of tyres and start getting some laps under my belt(without braking it)so when i get my hands on something like this i can have a real crack.
