went for a road trip today to check out buddy gus's conversion on his 80 vette,also found a couple of yellows there as well,i post the yellow 71 before with the rego plate NOT RED but ant find the post any where...
but info is,the owner bought it 23 yrs ago with 500 mile on the clock,now has only 17,500 miles on its tuff as nails 454. the 69 next to it when finished will be a big doller car,so far over 100 k has been spent,running gear is a 427,check out the conversion pics.....

Maybe i've lost my marbles,but that engine looks like mouse power,is it an oversize mouse or is the 454 badge wrong?john;45

Its just deceiving! it is a big block! but the covers have fins on them making them look like SB covers!

definatly a big block....small blocks of this vintage have the middle 2 pipes per side next to each other.(real close together...have a look at a small block engine and you see what i mean)...only the big blocks and newer ls1 engines have the header pipes equal distances apart....
