Title: What tyre size do you run on your C3?

I was running 4 X 255 and here what they looked like...Personally i reckon they look awsome back and front, it gives a wicked look at the front...beefy vet!!!

and I had a big issue with them (front ones). They were rubbing. It was really strange because few members had 72 vetss with 255's at the front and did not experience this problem.

but now i am running 255's at the back and 235 at the front

My car is also prob the lowest C3 on the forum so the tires are suited for that reason.

The reason I ask this is sometimes different tyres have a different sidewall shape, despite being the same profile (ie: some have more round shoulders while others have square shoulders). I've noticed on C4's with 11" wide rears tyre brand and model plays as much of a role as profile when it comes to how they fit under the rear guards.

Is there anything to this theory on C3's?

(sorry Cosmic, I hope this doesn't put things off track)

Post by: smokem on July 18, 2007, 08:57:33 AM: What we found with Jollinari's that the measurement of the wheel opening was different to another of the same model that could run 255 successfully and neither vehicle had been damaged . Stil is a mystery , so 245 may be a safe bet .

I'm sure you guys probably already considered this but I have to ask, could that be the result of changes made to the cars between early and late production? Just wondering.

Post by: 69 DIRTY RAT on July 19, 2007, 08:49:14 AM: When my vette was standard I had 255's all round with no problems BUT I also had the inner lip removed so as it wouldnt hit!
