Post by: bootlegger on June 20, 2007, 10:38:54 PM
My Wife last week gave birth to our brand new baby girl. Has anyone out there ever fitted a baby capsule into there Vette? Ive got the room for it and can make up some mounts.I still want to take everyone out in the car at least until she is too big for the capsule. Any advice out there? Dave

congrats!  ;42

As far as I know you can't have a capsule in the front seat of a car - and no, I can't see any law enforcement authority being pleased with it strapped behind the seats!  ;-)

One of our members had a child/baby seat mounted in the rear in a 78 coupe. It was only suitable for a larger child, not a newborn. of course he only got to use it a little bit before the child got too large. That was about 15 years ago........

Thanks for that. Im not worried about the police. They wouldnt know what they were looking at anyway.I was going to mount it behind the seats in a custom made cradle that bolts in. It would all be reversible when Im done with it. Just wondering if anyone else has done it before?
