Yep, i remember this one. It was a local Canberra car, although i don't think it still is as i haven't seen it for a very long time.

I always presumed it became this car in a later life:

Looks the same. I think it was the same car that turned up at the All American show at Castle Hill in the late 90s. I think the new owner had just purchased it from the original owner.

I remember that, I still have the old pics I took of the car at Castle Hill the year we were next door while the upper floors of Castle Towers were being refurbished. ;42

In the index it says that it has 72 front with 72 quarters ;wtf(whatever that means). It does seem to have the flared guard ends. Might have been a bitsa in a earlier time.

Yes this car was owned by steve lewis in qld he owns a bob jane t-mart store up there ,but it was recently sold to someone in melbourne(about 4 months ago).
it has always been a good looking car,but it is only since steve owned it that it has had the performance to match.

At the time of the magazine article(about 10 years ago) this car really lacked performance, and now that i see who built the motor it explains why (just ask MADVET).
the car was blown away by a stock ZR1 about 4 times in a row at a convention back in the 90's.
But it is very nice and well sorted car today.
