I read an article on John Linghenfelter once where he stated that he didn't think much of the ZR-1 at all. Can't remember why actually tho....I'd have to drag out my mags to sort through the articles. I've never thrown a single magazine away yet!
Still have Modern Motors from when they were 40 cents each!;eek

Thanks for the link Brutus.

I checked out the site a little and found this:

I was going to post it in its own thread but I didn't know whether to put in the pre or post 84 section. :22

I remember when Vette magazine did a teaser article on this car when it was still under construction - I never did see the finished car until now.  I love it.  If/when I get a midyear make it exactly like this or a 66 big block four speed convertible... :22

Brutus, I think it was Reeves Callaway who said he didn't think much of the LT5 motor - there was an interview in a recent Vette magazine where he said he didn't like it because given it's complexity and expense it didn't deliver too well in terms of power (relatively speaking).  Mind you, nothing sounds better than when someone winds out a ZR1 to 7,000rpm. :evil

Yep that's it.you're right it was Callaway. The old grey matter just ain't what she used to be.:b4
