He's got a lot of money to spend yet.
No tripower, no ignition shielding, no chrome rocker covers, wrong dissy. And that's without getting picky. Then again he may just want to drive it.
Does the engine code match L71 and the VIN?
-
Hey Nifty,
Is that the original paint... i didnt think they made a brown colour...
Otherwise, my congratulations go to your friend on his purchase... Go the 69ers!

hes not really worried about the tripower etc.he would love to bring it back to original but $$$$ is a problem.like whats just the manifold and carbs worth? few grand perhaps? thats IF you can find one.
BUT it is a matching number L71,and has documents to say so.

no its not the original colour.does need a respray,as a few runs in paint and few chips.have a close look at the rear bobtail, left hand side.it has black 100m/hr tape on it.it got damaged in transit. interior is a bit ratty as well.car is from california, number plate says last rego in 2003.he paid au35k for it in late 2003.car was in oz for 6 weeks before he got it.
he was telling me he thinks he paid a bit too much for it.i said 427/390hp ....maybe a bit dear.but then he told me it was the 435hp....i think he got a bargain.i will find out what the true colour is;42

Great Pics Nifty,
Your right on the nose about the money. Its all about the originality and the numbers. Its a rare one.
With the colour, i was going to suggest riverside gold, given the interior colour.
If he aint to fussed about the colour, and hes going to respray it, tell him to go black, with red interior... yum yum.
