We have a new member.  Welcome.   I read in your Stats that you are happy as you finally have a Vette.

Tell us a bit about it and yourself.

Cameron,
Thank you for your warm welcome to the forum.
It has been a dream since I was 14 years old to be an owner of a Corvette. It took 23 years but I finally have one.

I am not mechnically minded but know how to change the oil and minor repairs. I hope.

I have placed pictures onto the following site http://www.rustys.com.au/vette

I can see that it needs some work, but I am hoping to find parts cheap and do the work myself.

Very nice.  Were you the gentleman that spoke last night at the club meet?

69 DIRTY RAT,

Yes it does. Why? Is that normal?
What I do know is that this car drives very nicely. I only have one small problem with it. When planting my foot from a slow speed, the car will cough first that take off like a rocket.

I am guessing I will need to take it to a mechanic for a tune up and at the same time he can tell me what else need to be done to the machine.

84's came with "Cross Fire Injection" - although some people pulled the system off if mechanics had trouble tuning them or getting parts.

So it isn't normal but I certainly wouldn't lose sleep over it given that the cross fire injection system is a restriction as I understand it.

That and a carby has a bit more "street cred". :v

And with a simple adjustment with my ring spanner.  Size fixed.

The size was 1034 x 775.  I simply halved it to 517x387.  Have a look at what I did, again by simply clicking the edit button in your post.  To check what size a picture is right click the picture and click properties.  It will show you the size.

Your doing well there squire.
