Far out, I hope the dealer replaces the car and not just the engine.

Is there a link these days between VIN and engine number? In other words, do late model Vettes have the concept of numbers matching?

If so, then I wouldn't settle for a replacement engine.

I think the idea originally was to do with warranty and nothing else.
a way to track components.
