I have been informed that I get the Corvette on the 8th May, as last. Looking forward to be going on a few runs, North or South don't care as long as I driving a corvette. :);27;27;)

I've been waiting for months, and it has been worth the wait as the 86 has matching numbers, to me that's a bonus.
Come saturday you won't see a happier person.;27;27;27 My neighours will hate me next Sunday morning.:20:20:20

Corvette has been delayed because they (blue slip people) cann't find the BLOODY engine number and have to remove the air con compressor and extractors to confirm the number.
should be mid week. I did get to drive it, from one shop to the other (unreg) and it felt good. ;37;37;30;30:20:20

Hi Onya,
I too have an 86 coupe, I note your location is Penrith, mine is Fairfield I wouldn't mind catching up & we could share thoughts.

I now own a 86 Corvette, it's been a long wait. How come everyone has to pass you, why carn't people drive normal. They are either riding your arse or just have to pass. See you all on a run one day.:):):bold;);):D

I jumped in my new vette last year, drove through Brisbane lunch hour traffic ( I'm a stranger to Bris) found the Main Roads depot and organised to register the car in Qld -
First problem - I had no idea how to raise the hood !!!!
2nd problem - couldn't find the two plates, for conversion and something else !!!

Big Panic.

Found everything eventually and drove away, noticing eveyone driving way too close behind.

I discovered it's an illusion, because we sit so far back in the car, it looks like cars behind are really close . OK, they are sometimes but usually it's the illusion.

Utes are the main cars that want to take me on. Most of the time I just let them go, I'm not sure I could hold them anyway, the new series V8's have a heap of power. Ugly looking buggers though ! he he he

(Actually not true, cos I've had a few utes and like the look of them - nothing like a Corvette thought , is there ?)
