;45 Need help--- can I fit 81--82 corvette seats in my 76 ? if I can how hard is the convertion ? your thoughts on this matter are appreciated......
-
according to good buddy and c3 guru they should bolt straight in....
-
I'd look towards C5 seats if you want to upgrade.
A lot of the guys in the USA are doing this to their C3's and they look great. Very comfortable as well.
I've seen pairs pop up on ebay a few times, normally around $500 ish a pair. Which is cheaper than buying all the foam and covers etc to recover C3 seats!

I put 80 seats in my 78 R/hand seat bolted straight in. L/hand seat had to use the bottom half of 78 & top half of 80.Had to change the adjuster arm also. The seat adjuster teeth are also a different pitch.

spoke to mate again...he said the runners a tad different, but easy to fix in the 76..... he sugested to go for c4 seats,as they a heap more hugging and comfy....

you might need a tighter fitting seat when you unleash the horses toyvet ;43

You'll have to use the C3 runners for the C4 seats and modify them slightly. The C4 seats will sit higher than the C3 ones so if you are tall you might have problems.
