Title: How is this?????

Ride height before work started:

Up she goes into the air:
This all needed to be undone:
The piece we were looking for:
And the old spring retainers:
The old spring retainers were going to be replaced with these:
A little pull and wiggle, the spring came out easily:
This is what needed to be cut off:
I was told that cutting this off should be the hardest bit for the day, which I was very happy about because, for one reason or other these came off very easily:
Replaced the think rubber with slightly thinner rubber:
Measured the thickness of the rubber that was removed:
Be very, very careful with the calculations of what needs to be cut off the new spring retainers, because when tighting accidents may happen:

That will sit nice and low, make sure you keep a few spare spoilers on hand.

Those new spring retainers, what are they off?

After a couple of headaches "Link to explain" (http://www.nswcorvettes.com.au/forum/viewthread.php?tid=5032)

"Homer" is lowered:

To answer you question Thunder Kiss, the brackets are from a 1988-1996 Spring Retainer. These are the ones that VO requested me to get as they can be cut down to allow to the missing amount of rubber that we took out.

The rear end still needs to come down a little bit more, But that will be after QLD.

Need to get over this small project first....;53

Looks good.  Can you place a couple of pics of both before and after in the same post so we can have close comparison?

Much better stance.  Homer wont have as far to fall now after a night out drinking ;29

Watch out for speed bumps that you once use to clear.

Noticed much scraping?

How has it effected your turning circle?

When my car is low it wont turn very well, wheels scrape on the chassis - up high, turns on a dime.

The only scraping I notice is from the front apron over speed humps.

Turning circle has not changed.

On Monday afternoon the car will be receiving its whell alignment. So hope everything goes well.

Demonx, for what it's worth, on a C4 I don't see how this modification could effect the turning circle unless you were running wider than stock tyres. ;42

Great thread. I know it is old, but one many people still use. Thanks
