Currently doing a resto on a 68 / 435 hp roadster & this is definately the last  matching no,s resto im doing . Over the years ive restored or rebuilt more than 30 vettes ,probably more . The difference now is original parts are getting harder to get & the yanks are getting harder to deal with & some of the repro gear you look at it & think " what the ! "  used to buy a starter motor for $10 now they think its gold & want $300 an ounce for it . Also finishing off a 85 vette & a 4wd project
 No wonder a person drinks

No  its no secret , its the 3rd L71 ive had here, I dont mind putting some pics , problem is im more mechanical than  computer knowledge so i wouldnt know how to do it , ill have to con someone into doing it for me.  anyway where im up to with the car is ive removed EVERYTHING mechanical & rebuilt or restoed it & getting ready to put it all back in . it was a Longbeach  Cal  car so underneath  just needed a clean up .
Whats holding me up is im building a gantry in the shed to put the drive train back in as the crappy engine hoist i used to pull the donk out nearly sh#t itself & give me a heart attack& im building a engine & gearbox jig so it can be assembled& detailed in one piece & clutch assembly geometry set up done. its all happening slowly
