Title: th700 conversion

how difficult is it to mount th700 in a 86 vette,  i know it mite be a step backwards, but not sure about availability of 4+3 gearboxes and pricing, only just bought the vette. any information would be greatly appreciated!!

Bolt in swap but you need the C4 only T700 tailshaft housing on a regular T700 to mount to the Vette C beam

Reuse driveshaft and yoke
4+3 has trans cooler so rework those lines for auto. Will need some means ( a switch )  of controlling the convertor lockup.
Trans should come with the control (TV ) cable and your throttle bracket already has provision for that
