Title: Rims for '75
Post by: GAS.455 on September 25, 2005, 12:13:05 PM
I'm looking at getting some new rims for my '75 as it gets closer to being back on the road.

With the 15x8 originals.....What is the back spacing on them?

I am just going to get 15x8 all round in the original sizes.

I just want to order them and fit them at home.

The ones in the photo look good, whats wrong with them? Otherwise measure your old ones from the back of the centre to the back/edge of the rim, that should be thr back space? What about "offset trail arms" so you can go phat = 10" wide rims, 295 tyres!

They were either dead centre or about 1/2 inch offset from memory.  I think that makes 4 1/2 inch offset.

Those are the rims off my Pontiac.... I only had them on the Vette whilst I was modifying the Pontiac.

4 1/2"  Sounds good....

Thanks for your help.
