Title: C6 Steering
Post by: Aaron on April 09, 2019, 05:11:51 PM
Hello,
this is my first post as a new member.

I have a 2005 c6 converted in QLD around the same time, however never been happy with steering feel and has had replacement racks up there. Movement in wheel when steering straight and reluctant to self centre after completing a turn,

Does anyone have any experience in this type of issue on RHD conversion, and or know a corvette  specialist, particularly in Sydney ?

First port of call is wheel alignment, but I think there's more to it.

Regards Aaron

hello Aaron and welcome to the forum.
first question is which company did the conversion.
I would hope is a mirror conversion.

Have you check to see if there are any codes  to see what may be wrong.
I'm not 100% sure the 05 model has steer assist.
do you have a code reader.

Thanks fellas,
its an early Corvette Queensland conversion.
It is a mirror image, as in the gearstick etc is in the correct position (next to driver).

Codes and "steer assist" I hadn't thought of, and Ill  give Steve Sharkey a bell.

appreciate the assist
