Post by: 69CVET on August 21, 2015, 01:33:41 PM
Hi Guys,

Doing a changeover due to some deep scratches and wear/tear
Any recommendations apart from the obvious big brand guys ?

Already have a new screen ready to go ....

Cheers
Chris

He shipped it up in a nice sturdy cradle for me.  :thumb:

Alan fitted it yesterday and was a true gentleman and looked after the Car in a tricky job ( it had never been out in 43 years )
Highly recommended.

How was the new glass in respect of fit mainly with the stainless covers as this has been a problem in the past with newer screens being thinner and the stainless surrounds having a bit of air between them.
If it's a good one the company that supplied it may get a few orders.

Hi Ross,

Yes slight thickness and radius on the New Screens as you know - But fits a treat.
With the original cord still in the frame and in good condition we were able to have a snug fit with limited gap.
Unless you go full original which i was quoted here in Sydney up to $1800 .... then happy with the minor gaps.   :thumb:

Cheers Chris
