Title: Help with fog light filements
Post by: Topless89 on June 23, 2002, 05:31:04 PM
Hi guys. Just thought I'd actually use the forum as I've seen them used elsewhere. I am currently trying to remove the front lower fog light filement(glass) from my 89 C4. Replacing the bulbs is simple enough but not sure about the front glass. The manual does not cover it and I was wondering if anyone had removed or replaced one and knows the procedure?
Thanks all..hope someone can help.

You are referring to the glass lense right?

If so my GM manual (section 8B - 8) says that you need to remove the front energy absorber (ie: the bumper bar) to expose the lamp assembly retaining bolts.  Thats how I've interpreted it anyway.

Trust me, I can tell you that pulling a front bumper off ain't fun...:(
