Can anyone recommend a Manual transmission re-builder in Sydney, seems to be my last resort as it jumps out of reverse making it really difficult to put the car into my garage, thanks.

I am looking at tyres for my 86.  Still has 16" x 8.5" wheels.

255/50x16 seem to have dried up unless you want expensive semi slicks.

5 years ago you could get 245/50x16 which are only 1.5% smaller but they all seem to be out of stock these days.

Has everyone moved to bigger wheels?

Update.

The CNC25 is on track, with car entries hitting the hundred mark and applicants at around 170.

Your team is working quietly in the background making for a great weekend.
However: the committee will no doubt be looking for help in wrangling cars or judging etc, we have plenty of Hi-viz jackets ready for you.

One NOTE,
We will be putting water in the goodie bags, but I will be taking at least 1 x 1.25lt bottled water as I'm finicky on how my morning cuppa tastes. Some country town water is better than others.

Spoke to Harry and El Prez, I have received a receipt for my entry fee and requested an update but no response. even a short note to say all is on plan would allay fears. 6 weeks to go....

Members.

I need a set of tyres for the 87. Not long ago I put a set on the 90 and these were KUMHO 275/40ZR17  ECSTA 4X.
These were recommended by several members and they have turned out to be excellent wet or dry, good wear, little noise.

Now you are thinking - "well get some more " well they have been discontinued - surpassed by PA51 / 71 etc.
The real issue is the NEW prices for these new tyres is rediculous.

So I'm now considering Hankook, Nexan and of course KUMHO - these three seen to be available in the required size for 17" wheels.
Can any one recommend a tyre and or a Dealer with better prices - All the big names have big prices, even Tyroola is a rip off.
I did use TyrePro in Minto, but alas Wassa has closed up shop, pity he was very good.

The mm6 was originally designed and built by Borge Warner , when gm got involved with it  the box was built by tremec .
Having said that  I see you want a local repair but I?d look at Mal wood in QLD
